Job Summary
Join our dynamic healthcare team as a Physical Therapy Assistant - I, where you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional patient care across diverse settings. This entry-level position offers an exciting opportunity to support licensed physical therapists in implementing personalized treatment plans that enhance mobility, reduce pain, and promote recovery. You will work closely with patients of all ages, including pediatrics and geriatrics, in inpatient, outpatient, home health, and skilled nursing facility environments. Duties

  • Assist licensed physical therapists in developing and executing individualized care plans tailored to each patient's needs, including orthopedics, geriatrics, pediatrics, and acute care cases
  • Support patient care activities such as therapeutic exercises, manual therapy techniques—including trigger point therapy—and mobility training
  • Monitor patient progress and document responses to treatments accurately within medical records
  • Prepare treatment areas and ensure all equipment is sanitized and ready for use
  • Educate patients and their families on home exercises, discharge planning, and injury prevention strategies
  • Assist with clinical assessments by measuring range of motion, strength, and functional abilities using established protocols
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate care plans and ensure seamless patient transitions across care settings

Experience

  • Prior experience working in inpatient or outpatient physiotherapy settings is preferred
  • Skilled nursing facility experience or background in home health services is highly advantageous
  • Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology relevant to physical therapy practices
  • Hands-on experience with physiotherapy techniques such as trigger point therapy and manual therapy methods
  • Familiarity with discharge planning processes and outpatient clinic operations
  • Experience supporting patients with orthopedic injuries, geriatrics, pediatrics, or post-surgical rehabilitation is a plus
  • Demonstrated ability to follow detailed care plans while maintaining a compassionate approach to patient interactions

Pay: $30.77 per hour
