Duties
- Conduct thorough patient assessments, including physical examinations and detailed medical histories, to accurately diagnose health conditions.
- Develop and implement personalized treatment plans utilizing evidence-based practices and current clinical guidelines.
- Perform or oversee specialized procedures
- Manage acute and chronic illnesses across inpatient and outpatient settings, ensuring continuity of care through effective discharge planning and follow-up.
- Utilize electronic health record (EHR) systems like Epic or EMR systems to document patient encounters meticulously and maintain accurate medical records.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including nurses, radiologists, specialists in cardiology, neurology, psychiatry, and other fields to coordinate comprehensive patient care.
- Engage in clinical research initiatives or quality improvement projects to advance medical knowledge and enhance patient outcomes.
Requirements
- Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution with valid licensure to practice medicine.
- Proven experience in hospital medicine, outpatient care, or specialized fields such as cardiology, endocrinology, psychiatry, or neurology.
- Demonstrated proficiency with EHR systems like Epic or other EMR platforms; familiarity with medical imaging interpretation is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology, physiology, and clinical procedures including airway management and IV infusion techniques.
- Experience working within Level I or Level II trauma centers or acute care environments is highly desirable.
- Excellent patient service skills with the ability to perform comprehensive physical examinations and develop effective care plans.
- Basic life support (BLS) certification; additional certifications such as ACLS or PALS are advantageous.
- Ability to work efficiently in high-pressure situations while maintaining compassionate patient interactions. Pay: $130,000.00 - $160,000.00 per year
