The Department of State Hospitals (Napa State Hospital) is currently accepting applications for Physician and Surgeon (Safety), Permanent/Full Time. This job will be done on-site as there is no telemedicine option.
Under the supervision of the Chief of Primary Care Services and Chief Physician and Surgeon, the Physician and Surgeon will be responsible for the medical care of assigned patients. Candidates must be in possession of the legal requirements for practice of medicine in California as determined by the California Medical Board, as well as completion of residency training in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine in an approved hospital. Strong preference will be given to Geriatricians, Certified Medical Directors, and/or physicians with significant experience treating patients in Skilled Nursing Facilities.
