PHYSICIAN ASSISTANT

PHYSICIAN ASSISTANT candidate should be a graduate having passed ourtPHYSICIAN ASSISTAN course from TAMILNADU MGR MEDICAL UNIVERSITY and with minimum ONE YEAR EXPERIENCE IN a busy and heavy patient area in a CARDIOLOGY CORONARY OR EMERGENCY WARD with hands-on experience in handling Cardiac cases.

Only candidates with above experience will be considered for selection.

Following are the job responsibilities for PHYSICIAN ASSISTANT

1. Clinical Patient Assessment & Triage

  • Perform initial and ongoing patient assessments (history taking, physical exam, vitals, risk stratification).
  • Rapidly identify changes in hemodynamic status and prioritize care in unstable patients.

2. Assist in Acute Management & Stabilization

  • Collaborate with cardiologists/ intensivists in managing acute coronary syndromes (ACS), arrhythmias, heart failure, shock states.
  • Initiate emergency protocols (e.g., ACLS algorithms) and assist in decision pathways during myocardial infarction or decompensation.

3. Orders, Documentation & Treatment Plans

  • Write appropriate orders (labs, imaging, medications) under supervision per hospital policy.
  • Ensure accurate, timely documentation of assessments, interventions, and plans in the EMR.

4. Therapeutic Interventions

  • Administer / adjust vasoactive infusions, titrate anti-arrhythmics, diuretics, anticoagulants as per standing protocols and physician directives.
  • Assist in device management (temporary pacing, intra-aortic balloon pump monitoring, ECMO checkpoints if available).

5. Diagnostics Interpretation & Reporting

  • Review ECGs, telemetry, basic imaging (CXR), point-of-care ultrasounds (if trained).
  • Communicate significant findings to cardiology team instantly; contribute to diagnostic planning.

6. Procedures Assistance

  • Scrub/assist in emergent/urgent procedures (central lines, arterial lines, pacing wires).
  • Support bedside procedures ensuring aseptic technique and patient safety.

7. Multidisciplinary Coordination

  • Liaise with CCU nurses, cardiac rehab, pharmacy, respiratory therapy, dietetics, and social work to advance patient care.
  • Participate in daily multidisciplinary rounds and care planning.

8. Family Communication & Education

  • Provide clear updates to patients’ families regarding condition, anticipated care plan, risks and next steps (under physician guidance).
  • Educate patients on medication adherence, lifestyle modifications, discharge expectations.

9. Quality, Safety & Compliance

  • Follow CCU protocols, checklists, and safety standards (medication reconciliation, fall risk assessment, sepsis alerts).
  • Participate in quality improvement, morbidity/mortality meetings, and root-cause analyses.

10. Training & Continuous Skill Development

  • Stay updated with ACLS / BLS / CCU-specific certifications.
  • Mentor junior PAs, interns, and nursing staff on CCU practices and emergency responses.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
