Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and compassionate Physician Assistant to join our multidisciplinary healthcare team. Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough patient assessments, including physical examinations, vital signs, and medical history reviews to inform diagnosis and treatment strategies
- Assist in diagnostic evaluations utilizing medical imaging, laboratory results, and diagnostic tests such as spinal taps or dermal fillers
- Administer medications, injections (including botulinum toxin treatments), IV infusions, and perform suturing with precision and aseptic technique
- Manage airway interventions, ventilator support, dialysis procedures, and critical care interventions within hospital or ICU settings
- Support emergency response efforts through triage, acute pain management, and airway management in Level I and Level II trauma centers or urgent care environments
- Document patient encounters accurately using EMR systems like Epic or Cerner while ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations
- Participate in clinical research studies, data collection efforts, and clinical trials to advance medical knowledge and improve patient care practices
Skills
- Proficiency with electronic health record (EHR) systems such as Epic, Cerner, or eClinicalWorks for efficient documentation and data management
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, CPT coding, ICD coding (ICD-9/10), and medical-surgical procedures
- Experience performing invasive procedures including catheterization, spinal taps, dermabrasion or esthetic laser treatments
- Skilled in airway management techniques, ventilator operation, phlebotomy, and infection control protocols
- Ability to perform complex patient assessments across diverse populations including pediatrics, geriatrics, neonatal units (ventilators), hospice & palliative medicine patients
- Critical care experience in ICU or emergency medicine settings with exposure to trauma centers or teaching hospitals preferred
- Familiarity with telehealth platforms for remote patient consultations and health coaching initiatives
