Physician Assistant

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Physician Assistant to join our growing Gastroenterology practice in Queens, NY. The Physician Assistant will work closely with board-certified gastroenterologists to provide comprehensive care for patients with digestive and gastrointestinal disorders in both outpatient and clinical settings.

Spanish fluency is required to effectively communicate with our diverse patient population and provide high-quality patient-centered care.

Responsibilities

• Conduct patient evaluations, medical histories, and physical examinations
• Assess, diagnose, and manage gastrointestinal conditions under physician supervision
• Develop and implement treatment plans
• Order, interpret, and review laboratory and diagnostic tests
• Educate patients regarding GI conditions, medications, and preventive care
• Assist with pre-procedure and post-procedure patient management
• Document patient encounters accurately in the electronic medical record (EMR)
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and support staff to ensure high-quality patient care
• Participate in follow-up care and care coordination

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program
• Current PA-C certification
• Active New York State Physician Assistant license or eligibility
• DEA registration (or ability to obtain)
• Strong clinical assessment and communication skills
• Experience in Gastroenterology, Internal Medicine, Family Medicine, or related specialty preferred
• New graduates with strong clinical rotations are encouraged to apply
