Physician Assistant – Neurology

Job Description:-

Experience:-

1–3 years hands-on experience in Neurology / Neurosurgery (mandatory)

Educational Qualification:-

• Bachelor’s / Master’s in Physician Assistant (B.Sc / M.Sc PA – Neurology / Critical Care / Emergency / Allied Health Sciences)

OR

• B.Sc in Neuro Science / Neuro Technology / Operation Theatre Technology / Anaesthesia Technology with relevant neuro clinical experience
• Mandatory: Hands-on clinical exposure in Neurology / Neurosurgery / Neuro ICU

Key Roles & Responsibilities Clinical Responsibilities:-

• Assist neurologists and neurosurgeons in OPD, IPD, ICU, and OT procedures
• Perform neurological examinations and patient assessments
• Monitor and document vital signs, neurological status, and treatment progress
• Assist in neuro procedures such as lumbar puncture, EEG, EMG, nerve conduction studies, etc.
• Pre-operative and post-operative patient care and monitoring
• Assist during neurosurgical procedures and provide post-op care

Patient Care:-

• Take detailed medical history and clinical documentation
• Provide patient and family counselling regarding disease, treatment, and rehabilitation
• Ensure proper medication administration and monitoring
• Handle emergency neurological cases

Administrative & Coordination:-

• Maintain accurate medical records and case sheets
• Coordinate with doctors, nursing staff, physiotherapists, and technicians
• Assist in clinical audits, case presentations, and ward rounds

Required Skills:-

• Strong clinical assessment skills in neurology
• Good knowledge of neuro anatomy, pathology, and clinical procedures
• Ability to work in ICU, emergency, and OT environment
• Good communication and documentation skills
• Compassionate and patient-centric approach

Preferred Skills:-

• Experience in Neuro ICU / Stroke unit / Epilepsy monitoring / Trauma care
• Knowledge of EEG, EMG, NCS, ventilator monitoring

Working Hours:-

Rotational shifts

Salary:-

As per industry standards + experience
