Description:
Precision Healthcare Specialists is seeking a highly skilled and patient-focused Physician Assistant (PA) or Nurse Practitioner (NP) to join our colorectal surgery team. This provider will collaborate closely with surgeons to deliver comprehensive care to patients with colorectal conditions, including pre-operative, operative, and post-operative management. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, demonstrates excellent clinical judgment, and thrives in a fast-paced surgical specialty setting.

Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including histories, physical exams, and diagnostic evaluations

Collaborate with colorectal surgeons on treatment planning and pre- and post-operative care

Assist in minor procedures in the clinic as indicated by scope of practice

Manage chronic and acute colorectal conditions, including patient education and follow-up care

Order, interpret, and follow up on labs, imaging, and diagnostic tests

Document all patient interactions, procedures, and treatment plans accurately in the electronic medical record (EMR)

Coordinate patient care with surgical, nursing, and ancillary staff to ensure continuity

Provide patient counseling on diet, bowel prep, recovery, and preventive care

Participate in quality improvement initiatives and maintain compliance with HIPAA, OSHA, and practice protocols
Requirements:

Graduate of an accredited PA or NP program

Current PA-C or NP licensure in Florida
-
BLS/ACLS certification required; other specialty certifications preferred

Minimum 1–2 years of clinical experience preferred; colorectal or surgical experience a plus

Strong knowledge of colorectal diseases, surgical procedures, and post-operative management

Experience with EMR systems (e.g., Epic, eClinicalWorks, Athenahealth)

Excellent clinical assessment and procedural skills

Strong communication, interpersonal, and patient education abilities

Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
