ABOUT THE ROLE
We are currently hiring a full-time provider for our Gaylord location. You will practice independently in a fully equipped urgent care clinic with a Medical Director available by phone or electronic communication. Both in-person and telemedicine visits are part of the practice.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Conduct patient histories & physical exams
- Conduct telemedicine and virtual visits
- Order and interpret labs, X-rays & 12-lead EKGs
- Counsel and educate patients
- Diagnose and manage acute illness and injury
- Coordinate referrals, transfers & specialist care
- Perform urgent care procedures
- Perform DOT/FMCSA physicals (preferred)
- Prescribe medications (DEA Schedules II–V)
- Document using ICD/procedure codes
CLINICAL PROCEDURES & SKILLS
- Laceration repair, I&D, nail removal, minor foreign body removal (including superficial corneal)
- Reduction of common dislocations and fractures
- IV fluid initiation, CPR, AED
- Digital X-ray and lab/EKG interpretation
- Recognition of life-, limb-, or vision-threatening emergencies
- Effective patient communication, referral coordination, and care transitions
REQUIREMENTS
- Graduate of an NCCPA-accredited PA program OR accredited NP program
- NCCPA certification (PA-C) or board certification (NP)
- Active Michigan PA or NP license
- Active DEA certification (Schedules II–V)
- Minimum 1 year of experience in Urgent Care, Emergency Medicine, or Primary Care
- FMCSA/DOT certification — strongly preferred
Pay: $60.00 - $65.00 per hour
