Physician Assistant - Part Time (Oklahoma Remote)

We are seeking a Physician Assistant to join our dynamic care team. In this role, you will collaborate closely with a supervising physician to manage several onsite clinics, providing virtual medical care. We are looking for a Nurse Practitioner who will work closely with a supervising Physician to manage several separate onsite clinics and care for patients. It will consist of a combination of virtual and in-person medical care. The key objective is to develop positive relationships with patients through protocol driven care, health coaching, disease management, preventative screening and education. The NP will also help with urgent and emergent matters.


Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Promote and maintain patient health by providing medical services under the supervision of a physician.
  • Contribute to a physician’s efficiency by identifying short-term and long-range patient care issues.
  • Recommend options and courses of action for patient care.
  • Implement physician directives.
  • Assess patient health by interviewing patients and performing physical examinations including obtaining, updating, and studying medical histories.
  • Determine abnormal conditions by administering or ordering diagnostic tests, such as X-rays and laboratory studies and interpreting test results.
  • Document patient care services by charting in patient and department records.
  • Perform therapeutic procedures by administering injections and immunizations, suturing, and managing wounds and infections.
  • Instruct and counsel patients by providing normal growth and development information and providing counseling on emotional problems of daily living.
  • Provide a community of care by developing and implementing patient-management plans.
  • Maintain a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
  • Protect patients and employees by adhering to infection-control policies and protocols. Comply with federal, state, and local legal and professional requirements by studying existing and new legislation; anticipating future legislation; and enforcing adherence to requirements and advising management on needed actions.
  • Collaborate in the development and evaluation of patient care. Update clinical guidelines/protocols/pathways; work autonomously and accept accountability for outcomes; sign orders in accordance with institution and state board requirements; collaborate in research and teaching projects and apply research to practice.
  • Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks, and participating in professional societies.
  • Develop health care team staff by providing information, educational opportunities, and experimental growth opportunities.
  • Utilize telemedicine interface to complete virtual visits.
  • Ability to virtually float to multiple facilities and/or take call (first call) to support Urgent Care APPs.
  • The position is primarily remote. There may be occasional local travel (up to 10%) to support onsite clinical operations.
Requirements:

Education/Experience:

  • Master's Degree from an accredited Physician Assistant program
  • Current TEXAS and/or OKLAHOMA licensure as a Physician’s Assistant ( PA-C )
  • Maintenance of licensure and certification required
  • Basic Life Support (BLS)
  • Primary Care Experience - 2 years preferred. All encouraged to apply.
  • Bilingual Spanish/English preferred
