Five Star Home Hospice is an established and reputable hospice agency with over 10 years of experience, based in Pasadena, CA, providing compassionate, high-quality end-of-life care to patients throughout Los Angeles County. As we continue to grow, we are developing and expanding our palliative care program and are seeking a motivated and collaborative physician to join our team.

Position Summary

We are seeking a California-licensed MD or DO with an interest in hospice and palliative medicine to support our clinical team and assist with the continued development of our palliative care program. This is a part-time physician role, ideal for someone who values quality-driven care and wants to be involved in program growth and collaboration.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide medical oversight for hospice and palliative care patients
• Attend and participate in Interdisciplinary Team (IDT) meetings
• Collaborate with the clinical team to establish and guide plans of care
• Conduct patient visits in home or facility settings as needed
• Support the development and expansion of the palliative care program
• Serve as a clinical resource to staff and referral partners
• Assist with census growth through collaboration and physician-to-physician engagement

Qualifications

• MD or DO with an active, unrestricted California medical license
• Experience or training in hospice and/or palliative care preferred, but not required
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Interest in program development and quality improvement
• Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team
