We are searching for a talented Hospitalists - multiple openings.

Hours: Full-time - 40-hrs
Shift: 7a - 7p (3 per rotation) and 8 a - 7p (4 per rotation) Weekend, holiday rotation
Location: Will work primarily at St. Luke's Hospital in New Bedford, MA and may also work at Charlton Memorial Hospital in Fall River, MA and/or Tobey Hospital in Wareham, MA.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide clinical care for patients.
  • Support surgical and specialty services through consultative general internal medicine practice.
  • Engage in direct patient care activities and medical/clinical practice as the principal component of his/her overall professional responsibility within the Department.
  • Conduct initial patient assessments and admissions.
  • Formulate and implanting treatment plans.
  • Schedule and reviewing clinical and diagnostic tests.
  • Provide updates to primary care physicians and family members.
  • Conduct multiple rounds daily as necessary of the acuity of patients’ conditions.
  • Coordinate and integrating specialty and subspecialty consultations.
  • Coordinate patient transfers to and from the ICU, medical/surgical unit; and or skilled nursing facilities.
  • Coordinate discharge planning.
Qualifications:
  • Must possess at least a Medical Degree or its equivalent and at least a 3-year residency in internal or family medicine.
  • Must possess a valid Massachusetts Medical License.
  • Must be Board Eligible or Board Certified in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine.
