Summary/Primary Role:
The Internal Medicine Physician will provide comprehensive primary and preventive medical care to adult patients, focusing on diagnosis, treatment, and management of acute and chronic conditions. The physician will work collaboratively within a team-based care model to promote continuity, evidence-based practice, and exceptional patient outcomes. This role emphasizes long-term patient relationships, preventive health, and coordination of specialty referrals within Premier’s integrated care network.
Principal Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Provide full-spectrum internal medicine services, including diagnosis and management of acute, chronic, and complex medical conditions.
  • Conduct thorough patient histories, physical examinations, and diagnostic evaluations.
  • Develop, implement, and monitor individualized treatment plans based on current clinical guidelines.
  • Provide preventive care, health maintenance, and lifestyle counseling to promote wellness and disease prevention.
  • Coordinate referrals and follow-up with specialists, diagnostic imaging, and ancillary services as needed.
  • Collaborate with nurse practitioners, physician assistants, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to deliver team-based, patient-centered care.
  • Maintain complete and accurate electronic medical records consistent with practice and regulatory standards.
  • Participate in quality improvement, clinical performance initiatives, and continuing medical education activities.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and organizational policies.
  • All other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications:
  • Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree required.
  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Internal Medicine.
  • Active and unrestricted New York State medical license (or eligibility for licensure).
  • Current DEA registration.
  • Demonstrated commitment to patient-centered, evidence-based care.
  • Excellent clinical judgment, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience with electronic medical records and quality-based metrics preferred.
Supervisory Responsibility:
This position may have supervisory responsibility for Advanced Practice Providers (NPs or PAs) within the Internal Medicine Department.
Expected Hours of Work:
An Employee must work a minimum of thirty (30) hours each week to maintain full-time status for benefits purposes, however the expectations of the position will require an average of forty (40) hours with overtime required as scheduled. Non-exempt employees are eligible for overtime pay in accordance with applicable wage and hour laws, while exempt employees may be required to work additional hours as necessary to fulfill their job responsibilities. Overtime requirements will be determined based on the operational needs of the organization.
The salary range and/or hourly rate listed is a good faith determination of potential base compensation that may be offered to a successful applicant for this position at the time of this job advertisement and may be modified in the future. When determining an employee’s base salary and/or rate, several factors may be considered as applicable (e.g., location, specialty, years of relevant experience, education, credentials, and internal equity). Premier Medical Group also offers a comprehensive set of benefits to compliment the base salary. The base annual salary range for this position is $225,000.00-$300,000.00.
Travel Requirements:
Travel between Premier Medical Group office locations may be required.

This role operates primarily in a clinical office setting, with occasional inpatient or procedural responsibilities. The environment is fast-paced and patient-focused, requiring the ability to manage multiple priorities and maintain professionalism under pressure.

  • Ability to stand, walk, and sit for extended periods.
