Physician Liaison

Position Summary

Longitude Rx is seeking a relationship driven Provider Liaison to join our team. As an embedded member of the Specialty Pharmacy within the Memorial Hermann Health System, this role will serve as the face of the specialty pharmacy to physicians, advanced practice providers, office staff, and care managers.

As the key relationship builder with physician care teams, this role is responsible for promoting the specialty pharmacy’s services, demonstrating its value in improving patient outcomes, and increasing provider adoption of integrated pharmacy solutions. This highly visible, mission centered position blends healthcare expertise with polished communication and patient first empathy, directly supporting our values of trust, innovation, and compassion in care delivery.

Location: Houston, TX (with local travel across the Memorial Hermann Health System)

Core Responsibilities

Provider Engagement & Relationship Building

• Serve as the trusted liaison between Memorial Hermann providers and specialty pharmacy by cultivating and sustaining strong, positive relationships with physicians, nurses, and care teams to promote utilization of specialty pharmacy services.
• Educate physicians, nurses, and office staff on the specialty pharmacy’s services, demonstrating how our integrated solutions streamline care and reduce barriers for patients.
• Conduct consistent office visits and follow-ups to build provider confidence, secure referrals, and reinforce the mission of improving access and outcomes.

Promoting the Value of Specialty Pharmacy

• Clearly articulate the specialty pharmacy value proposition, including improved patient outcomes, reduced total cost of care, and seamless care coordination.
• Represent both Longitude Rx and Memorial Hermann with professionalism, credibility, and patient-first empathy.
• Proactively identify opportunities to expand provider adoption, advancing our shared mission to close gaps in specialty medication access.

Operational Excellence

• Track calls, visits, referrals, and follow up activities to ensure consistent outreach, accountability, and measurable progress.
• Address provider and staff concerns with responsiveness, persistence, and respect, demonstrating Longitude Rx’s commitment to service excellence and resilience.
• Collaborate with providers and care managers to reduce delays, simplify processes, and support patients in overcoming financial or logistical challenges with their medications.

Minimum Qualifications

Education: Associates degree required; healthcare or business-related field preferred

Licenses and Certifications: None

Experience: 2+ years of experience in specialty pharmacy, healthcare provider relations, or related fields (pharmacy, nursing, pharmaceutical sales, or healthcare business development).

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• Skilled in engaging and building strong relationships with physicians and clinical teams.
• Familiarity with the clinical, financial, and operational challenges faced by providers and patients in accessing specialty medications is strongly preferred.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to deliver clear, compelling, and confident messages about the value of specialty pharmacy.
• Ability to establish credibility and trust with diverse healthcare professionals while tailoring messages to different audiences (clinicians, staff, patients) to drive engagement and alignment.
• Highly organized with proven ability to manage and track calls, visits, referrals, and follow up activities.
• Ability to demonstrate persistence and respectful follow up in gaining provider buy in.
• Ability to empathize with and understand patient challenges related to specialty medications.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $60,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
