Physician (MD) - Neonatologist
Location: Topeka, KS
Pay: $275,000 - $360,000 annually
Shift: Varied Six to seven 24-hour in-house shifts per month plus six to seven 8-hour day shifts per month
Overview:
We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Physician (MD) to join the Neonatologist team of a respected healthcare organization. This role is ideal for healthcare professionals looking to work in a collaborative environment that prioritizes patient-centered care.

Key Responsibilities/Job Requirements:
- Provide a full range of neonatal intensive care services in a Level-III NICU with 36 beds and an average daily census of 26 patients
- Manage advanced neonatal therapies including High Frequency Ventilation, Inhaled Nitric Oxide, Total Body Cooling, and amplitude-integrated EEG (aEEG)
- Collaborate with subspecialty support teams including Cardiology, Neurology, Ophthalmology, Hematology, and Endocrinology
- Work as part of a multidisciplinary team including 5 neonatologists and Neonatal Nurse Practitioners (NNPs)
- Participate in patient care coverage including potential call and weekend duties as per department policy
- Maintain Board Eligibility (within 5 years of fellowship working toward BC) or Board Certification in Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine
- Obtain and maintain Kansas state medical license
- Obtain DEA registration prior to start date
- Maintain clean malpractice and license history
- Provide copy of most recent NPDB Report (within 30 to 60 days active)
Qualifications:
- Active Physician (MD) license in good standing (state-specific)
- Minimum of 1-3 years of relevant Neonatologist experience preferred
- BLS certification required; ACLS preferred
- Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
