Physician (MD) - Oncologists
Location: Colorado Springs, CO
Pay: $495,000 - $550,000 annually
Shift: Monday - Friday 8:00 am-5:00 pm
Overview:
We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Physician (MD) to join the Oncologists team of a respected healthcare organization. This role is ideal for healthcare professionals looking to work in a collaborative environment that prioritizes patient-centered care.
Note: This is a direct placement opportunity. Travelers will not be considered for this role. The selected candidate will be hired directly by our client. Benefits and other employment terms may vary.
Key Responsibilities/Job Requirements:
- Provide gynecological oncology services in a high-volume practice setting
- See 15-22 patients per day with flexible scheduling for new patients and follow-ups
- Treat adult patients in primarily outpatient settings
- Participate in shared call schedule (1:2 ratio) with limited call-ins for specific consults
- Provide weekend coverage only while on call
- Utilize Epic EMR system for patient documentation and care coordination
- Collaborate with dedicated Nurse Navigator and specialized support staff
- Work with GYN-specialized Radiation Oncologist and Pathologists
- Utilize da Vinci XI surgical system for minimally invasive procedures
- Participate in clinical trials and research opportunities
- Engage with University of Colorado School of Medicine Tumor Board
- Provide comprehensive cancer care including coordination with ancillary services
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary team including APPs, nurses, and medical assistants
- Optional teaching opportunities with medical students
- Maintain board certification in OB/GYN and Gynecological Oncology
- Maintain active state medical license and DEA registration
- Participate in continuing medical education programs
- Adhere to medical group policies and procedures
Qualifications:
- Active Physician (MD) license in good standing (state-specific)
- Minimum of 1-3 years of relevant Oncologists experience preferred
- BLS certification required; ACLS preferred
- Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
