Physician (MD) - Oncologists

Shift: Days Days Monday-Friday 8:00 am-5:00 PM + call
Overview:
We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Physician (MD) to join the Oncologists team of a respected healthcare organization. This role is ideal for healthcare professionals looking to work in a collaborative environment that prioritizes patient-centered care.
Note: This is a direct placement opportunity. Travelers will not be considered for this role. The selected candidate will be hired directly by our client. Benefits and other employment terms may vary.
Key Responsibilities/Job Requirements:
- Provide medical oncology and hematology services with 30/70 split between specialties
- See an average of 30 patients per day in adult and geriatric population
- Conduct new patient visits (30 minutes) and follow-up appointments (15 minutes)
- Provide coverage primarily at one location with potential rotation to affiliated health system
- Handle after-hours calls by phone with minimal frequency
- Work collaboratively with support team including four RNs, MA, CNA, and receptionist
- Coordinate care with available hospitalists for infusion coverage when needed
- Collaborate with onsite radiation oncology services
- Accept referrals from primary care network providers
- Practice in state-of-the-art facility with full ancillary services
- Participate in cancer care as identified priority health need in service area
- Support Commission on Cancer (COC) Accreditation efforts
- Maintain board certification or eligibility in Medical Oncology
- Maintain board certification or eligibility in Hematology
- Obtain and maintain state medical licensure
- Maintain clean malpractice record
Qualifications:
- Active Physician (MD) license in good standing (state-specific)
- Minimum of 1-3 years of relevant Oncologists experience preferred
- BLS certification required; ACLS preferred
- Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
