Shift Schedule:
- Monday to Friday
- Regular hours: 8:00 AM 5:00 PM
- 40 hours per week
- Additional overtime hours may be required based on patient care needs
- Telehealth services may be arranged as needed
- Rotational coverage for Teen Clinic, Ambulatory Care Walk-in, and other CSU outpatient settings may be required
How many shifts needed per month: Approximately 20 shifts per month
License:
- Current, valid, unrestricted Physician Psychiatrist license in any U.S. State/Territory
- DEA License with Schedule II V authority
Certifications:
- BLS required
- ACLS and PALS highly recommended
- Board Certification through the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology required
Experience needed: Minimum 6 months of Psychiatry work experience after accredited residency training
Special Skills needed:
- Outpatient psychiatric care across all age groups
- Child and adolescent psychiatry experience preferred
- Psychotherapy and pharmacotherapy management
- Electronic Health Record (EHR) proficiency
- Cultural sensitivity and experience working with Native American populations preferred
- Ability to provide telehealth psychiatric services
- Experience in emergency psychiatric evaluations and crisis intervention
Credentialing / Onboarding time: 6 weeks to 8 weeks
Responsibilities:
- Provide outpatient psychiatric services at Pinon Health Center Counseling Services and Outpatient Department
- Evaluate, diagnose, and treat psychiatric conditions for patients ages 5 and older
- Conduct psychiatric assessments, medication management, psychotherapy, and crisis intervention
- Provide services in Ambulatory Care Walk-in and Teen Clinic as needed
- Coordinate care with primary care providers, social workers, nurses, and allied health professionals
- Maintain accurate and timely electronic medical records documentation
- Participate in department meetings, peer reviews, and quality improvement activities
- Provide referrals and coordinate specialized psychiatric care when necessary
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA, Joint Commission, CMS, and IHS standards
- Participate in emergency response/code team activities when required
