Responsibilities/Job Description:
Fairview is seeking a Board Eligible/Board Certified Psychiatrist to join our Programmatic Care team supporting Adult Mental Health services in Minneapolis, MN. This physician will provide comprehensive psychiatric evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment for patients within a collaborative behavioral health program setting. The role includes working closely with interdisciplinary team members to support high-quality, patient-centered psychiatric care.

No Call/ No Overnights/ No Weekends: The role does not require weekend or after-hours work.

Work alongside psychiatrists, psychologists, LICSWs, nurses, and advanced practice providers
Key Responsibilities

Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations including medical, developmental, and psychosocial histories

Develop differential diagnoses and individualized treatment plans using DSM-5 diagnostic criteria

Provide outpatient psychiatric care including medication management and ongoing treatment planning

Perform risk assessments for self-harm or harm to others and implement appropriate safety interventions

Provide psychiatric consultations within Mental Health and Addiction Services across the Fairview system

Deliver care through both in-person and telehealth platforms as clinically appropriate

Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to ensure coordinated patient care

Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in accordance with regulatory and quality standards

Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as needed

Participate in quality improvement and program development initiatives
Qualifications
-
Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO)
-
Graduate of an ACGME-accredited Psychiatry Residency Program
-
Board Eligible or Board Certified in Psychiatry through the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology (ABPN)

Licensed or ability to obtain medical licensure in the State of Minnesota

Ability to obtain and maintain DEA certification
Preferred Qualifications

Training or certification in Addiction Medicine or Addiction Psychiatry

Experience working in integrated behavioral health or programmatic care settings
