Job Summary

The Physician Recruiter plays a key role in supporting company growth by supporting the Director of Provider Recruitment (Ardent) in the talent acquisition of physicians and advanced practice practitioners throughout the country. The successful candidate will thrive in a fast-paced, innovative environment implementing successful talent acquisition in collaboration with business leaders. The Recruiter plays a role as an individual contributor in recruitment.

This position works closely with Physician Practice Group partnering across the UT Tyler Health Science Center (UTHSC), UT Tyler School of Medicine (UT SOM), and UT Health East Texas (UTHET). This position is expected to understand, interpret, and apply appropriate policy and procedures while following all applicable regulations.


Key Responsibilities


Relationships
:

  • Direct business partners and hiring managers to achieve annual recruitment goals.
  • Create and maintain relationships with executives and other stakeholders, collaborating regularly on recruitment needs.
  • Manage requests regarding requisitions.
  • Collaborating with hiring managers on understanding the requests for adding and backfilling positions as well as assisting with advertisements for positions.


Recruitment
:

  • Interviewing candidates over the telephone, virtually, and/or in person.
  • Recruit for designated positions based on strategic physician recruitment plan.
  • Manage requisition load handling full cycle recruitment responsibilities.
  • Responsible for maintenance and documentation of candidates in ATS.


Partnerships
:

  • Collaborate with the Ardent Sourcing Team to ensure the best advertising and promotion of job opportunities.
  • Communicate with stakeholders’ operations on onboarding new hires, terminations, internal transfers, etc.


Strategy
:

  • Continually improve the candidate and hiring manager experience.
  • Leverage recruiting analytics to evaluate and refine the current strategy, ensuring a world-class practice. Use a data-driven approach to support continuous improvement in processes and overall efficiency.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.


Required Education/Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources management, business administration, or related field.
  • Two (2) years’ experience of full-cycle recruiting.
  • May accept a combination of education and experience.


Preferred Education/Experience

  • 3 years overall experience working within a healthcare/medical service environment.
  • AAPPR (Association for Advancing Physician & Provider Recruitment) Certification preferred.

Additional Information

The retirement plan for this position is Teacher Retirement System of Texas (TRS), subject to the position being at least 20 hours per week and at least 135 days in length. This position has the option to elect the Optional Retirement Program (ORP) instead of TRS, subject to the position being 40 hours per week and at least 135 days in length.

This position is security-sensitive and subject to Texas Education Code Section 51.215, which authorizes the employer to obtain criminal history record information. Applicants selected must be able to show proof of eligibility to work in the United States by time of hire.

Clinical Position Requirements

Clinical positions require pre-screening through our Occupational Health department, including a drug test. Employees are required to obtain annual influenza vaccines.
