Physician Recruitment Manager

El Camino Health Medical Network is currently seeking a skilled Physician Recruitment Manager to join our growing healthcare team!


Pay: $120,000- $182,000 annualized

Location: Los Gatos, CA

Schedule: Mon-Friday 8am-5pm

Summary:


The Recruitment Manager is responsible for overseeing day-to-day recruitment operations while actively managing a portfolio of critical requisitions. This role operates as a strategic leader, balancing leadership responsibilities with direct recruitment execution to support organizational growth across clinical, operational, and administrative functions.

The Recruitment Manager ensures recruitment processes are consistent, efficient, and aligned with the organization’s mission, culture, and strategic workforce goals. The role partners closely with service line leaders, operational leadership, HR, and marketing to attract and hire high-quality talent while delivering an exceptional candidate experience.

Essential Functions:

Recruitment Operations & Team Leadership (Manager – ~50%)

  • Oversee daily recruitment operations and ensure consistent hiring processes across departments and service lines
  • Manage recruiter workload distribution and requisition assignments to ensure timely hiring outcomes
  • Mentor, coach, and develop recruiters to improve sourcing strategies, candidate engagement, and hiring manager partnership
  • Monitor recruiter performance and establish accountability through hiring metrics and performance standards
  • Develop and maintain standardized recruitment workflows, interview practices, and candidate experience guidelines
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and healthcare employment regulations related to hiring practices
  • Partner with HR leadership and operational leaders to forecast workforce needs and
develop recruitment strategies
  • Maintain recruitment documentation, hiring policies, and process standards

Recruitment Execution (Recruiter – ~50%)

    • Manage full-cycle recruitment for assigned positions including clinical, operational, and administrative roles
    • Support primary care and specialty care physician and advanced practice provider recruitment in coordination with operational and physician leadership
    • Source candidates using multiple channels including direct outreach, job boards, professional associations, and referrals
    • Conduct candidate screening, coordinate interviews, and guide hiring managers through the selection process
    • Lead offer preparation, negotiation, and candidate closing strategies
    • Ensure smooth candidate transitions from recruitment to onboarding in partnership with HR operations
    • Represent the organization at job fairs, conferences, and professional recruitment events

Strategic Recruitment & Employer Branding

  • Develop and maintain a strong understanding of the organization’s mission, vision, culture, and service offerings to effectively represent the organization to candidates
  • Collaborate with marketing and communications teams to develop recruitment campaigns, job advertisements, and employer branding materials
  • Build relationships with professional associations, training programs, and academic institutions to strengthen talent pipelines
  • Stay current on healthcare workforce trends, industry regulations, and recruitment best practices

Recruitment Analytics & Systems Management

  • Track and report key recruitment metrics including:
  • Time-to-fill
  • Cost-per-hire
  • Candidate pipeline health
  • Source effectiveness
  • Ensure data integrity and accurate reporting within the Applicant Tracking System (ATS)
  • Analyze recruitment data to identify trends and opportunities to improve hiring efficiency
  • Provide regular recruitment reports and workforce updates to HR and operational leadership

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, or related field required
  • Master’s degree preferred

Experience:

  • 5+ years of recruitment experience, preferably within healthcare
  • 2+ years of experience leading or mentoring recruitment teams preferred
  • Experience recruiting clinical roles such as physicians, advanced practice providers, nurses, or medical staff strongly preferred
  • Experience working with Applicant Tracking Systems and recruitment analytics, Greenhouse experience preferred
