Physics Teacher - British Curriculum - Starting April 2026

Overview

International Community Schools (ICS) is seeking a qualified and passionate Physics Teacher to join our British Curriculum branch Al Maharat, Shakhbout City, Abu Dhabi, starting April 2026. The successful candidate will deliver high-quality Physics instruction aligned with the British National Curriculum, fostering curiosity, critical thinking, and strong academic outcomes among students.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging Physics lessons in line with the British Curriculum
• Teach Physics at IGCSE level (AS/A Level experience is an advantage)
• Assess, monitor, and report on student progress effectively
• Differentiate instruction to meet diverse student learning needs
• Use practical experiments and modern teaching strategies to enhance learning
• Maintain accurate academic records and contribute to curriculum development
• Support school activities, enrichment programs, and professional development initiatives
• Maintain a positive, safe, and inclusive classroom environment
• Communicate effectively with parents and colleagues

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Physics or a related field
• Teaching qualification (PGCE, B.Ed., or equivalent)
• Experience teaching the British Curriculum
• Strong classroom management and communication skills
• Commitment to student development and academic excellence
