Physiotherapist

The role of Physiotherapist will focus on the health, recovery, and performance of athletes, ensuring they remain at the top of their game. You will provide expert care, rehabilitation, and injury prevention strategies tailored to individual and team needs. This role involves working closely with a multidisciplinary team, including coaches, strength and conditioning experts, and medical professionals, to deliver comprehensive support to athletes.


Athlete Assessment

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments of athletes to identify physical conditions, injury risks, and areas for improvement.
  • Diagnose and manage acute and chronic sports-related injuries, including musculoskeletal, ligament, and soft tissue issues.
  • Perform biomechanical assessments to analyze movement patterns and identify potential injury risks.

Treatment & Rehabilitation

  • Design and implement individualized treatment and rehabilitation plans that address specific injuries and recovery goals.
  • Provide manual therapy techniques, including joint mobilization, soft tissue massage, and trigger point therapy.
  • Administer therapeutic exercises, electrotherapy, cryotherapy, and other advanced physiotherapy techniques to aid recovery.
  • Ensure athletes achieve optimal physical function and are safely reintegrated into training and competition.

Injury Prevention

  • Develop and deliver tailored injury prevention programs, including stretching, mobility exercises, and strength training regimens.
  • Monitor athletes’ physical conditions during training and competition, identifying early signs of strain or overuse injuries.
  • Educate athletes on best practices for maintaining physical health and preventing injuries, including recovery protocols, hydration, and nutrition.

Game and Training Support

  • Provide on-field physiotherapy support during training sessions, matches, and tournaments.
  • Respond promptly to acute injuries during games, delivering first aid and initial assessments.
  • Ensure quick recovery strategies are implemented to keep athletes at peak performance levels.

Collaboration & Communication

  • Partner with coaches and strength and conditioning professionals to integrate rehabilitation plans into training schedules.
  • Work closely with medical staff to coordinate care and ensure seamless recovery for injured athletes.
  • Maintain open communication with athletes, providing clear explanations of treatment plans, progress, and goals.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to athletes, fostering confidence in their recovery and long-term physical health.

Documentation & Reporting

  • Maintain detailed and accurate records of athlete assessments, treatment plans, and progress reports.
  • Prepare regular updates for coaches and management regarding athlete readiness and injury status.
  • Contribute to team meetings and provide insights into improving athlete care and performance.


Qualifications & Skills:

Education:

Bachelor’s degree in Physiotherapy (BPT) or equivalent (Master’s degree in Sports Physiotherapy or related field preferred).


Experience:

  • Minimum 2-4 years of experience in sports physiotherapy in football club working with athletes (experience with professional teams).
  • Expertise in diagnosing and treating sports-related injuries, including sprains, strains, fractures, and overuse injuries.

Skills:

  • Advanced knowledge of anatomy, biomechanics, and injury rehabilitation techniques.
  • Proficiency in using rehabilitation equipment, exercise therapy, and manual therapy techniques.
  • Ability to assess and interpret complex physical conditions, identifying patterns, and making data-driven decisions regarding treatment plans.
  • Ability to assist athletes with rehabilitation exercises and treatments that may require physical effort and support.
