Key Responsibilities:


  • Assessment & Planning


    • Conduct detailed physical and functional assessments of residents.


    • Identify individual needs and develop personalized treatment and rehabilitation plans.


    • Set realistic and achievable therapy goals for residents.


  • Therapeutic Intervention


    • Provide physiotherapy sessions focusing on mobility, balance, posture, and strength improvement.


    • Administer manual therapy, electrotherapy, and exercise therapy as required.


    • Assist residents in regaining independence in activities of daily living.


  • Pain & Mobility Management


    • Manage chronic pain, joint stiffness, arthritis, and age-related mobility issues.


    • Support fall prevention and educate residents on safe movement techniques.


  • Rehabilitation Support


    • Design and implement rehabilitation programs for residents recovering from surgery, stroke, fractures, or other conditions.


    • Monitor progress and adjust treatment plans accordingly.


  • Documentation & Reporting


    • Maintain accurate records of assessments, treatments, and progress reports.


    • Provide periodic updates to doctors, nursing staff, and caregivers.


  • Team Collaboration


    • Work in coordination with doctors, nurses, occupational therapists, and social workers.


    • Participate in multidisciplinary care meetings and case discussions.


  • Education & Awareness


    • Educate residents and caregivers on home exercises, posture correction, and lifestyle modifications.


    • Promote health and wellness programs for elderly residents.


  • Equipment & Environment Management


    • Ensure physiotherapy equipment is properly maintained and safely used.


    • Suggest improvements to create a safe and supportive therapeutic environment.
