Responsibilities

• Design and implement comprehensive piano lesson plans tailored to individual student needs and skill levels
• Conduct engaging one-on-one or group lessons that promote technical proficiency and musical expression
• Develop customized curricula incorporating music theory, sight-reading, ear training, and performance techniques
• Manage classroom dynamics effectively, ensuring a positive and disciplined learning environment
• Assess student progress regularly and provide constructive feedback to motivate improvement
• Prepare students for recitals, exams, or performances by guiding practice routines and stage presence
• Collaborate with parents or guardians to communicate student achievements and areas for growth

Skills

• Proven experience in teaching piano across diverse age groups, including children, teens, and adults
• Strong knowledge of curriculum development tailored to various skill levels and learning styles
• Excellent classroom management skills to maintain an organized and encouraging environment
• Ability to create engaging lesson plans that incorporate music theory, sight-reading, ear training, and performance skills
• Experience working with children in early childhood education or preschool settings is a plus
• Familiarity with special education needs to adapt teaching methods accordingly
• Skills in tutoring students with different learning paces and behavioral management techniques
• Knowledge of additional arts such as theater, dance (ballet/dancing), or photography enhances the ability to integrate creative arts into lessons
• Ability to foster childhood development through musical activities that promote cognitive and emotional growth
• Experience in culinary arts or sewing is not required but demonstrates versatility in creative instruction
