We’re hiring reliable, engaging Piano Instructors to lead beginner-friendly group classes for elementary students. Students learn foundational technique, basic music reading, simple songs, and teamwork through fun, structured lessons.

We also welcome applicants with experience in music, art, STEM, language, or movement for future enrichment opportunities.

Position Highlights

• Part-time: 1–2 afternoons per week (program needs vary by site/semester)
• Pay: $60 per class (includes teaching + prep), paid monthly via Zelle
• Support: Curriculum/materials provided
• Compliance: Fingerprint clearance required (NJDOE )
• Team: Organized, supportive environment with clear expectations and communication
• Hiring Needs: Lead and backup instructors for Fall 2025 and Winter 2026 semesters

Class Details

• Locations: Jersey City, Hoboken
• Days/Times: Weekday afternoons (typically 2:30–5:00 PM)
• Grades: K–5
• Format: Small group enrichment classes

Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging, age-appropriate piano instruction in a group setting
• Create a positive, inclusive classroom environment
• Arrive prepared and on time; follow school/site procedures
• Communicate professionally with program staff regarding attendance and updates
• Maintain appropriate boundaries and behavior in accordance with youth program standards

Qualifications

• Strong piano skills; teaching experience preferred (group or private)
• Comfortable working with elementary-aged children
• Dependable, professional, and enthusiastic
• Able to pass required background checks/fingerprinting for youth programs
• Interest in additional enrichment subjects is a plus
