Pipe Fitter

Job Purpose:
To install, assemble, fabricate, maintain, and repair piping systems used in construction, mechanical, and industrial applications, ensuring all work complies with drawings, specifications, and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Read and interpret piping drawings, isometric sketches, and specifications.
• Measure, cut, thread, bend, and assemble pipes using hand and power tools.
• Install and align pipes, fittings, and supports according to layout plans.
• Fabricate and install pipe supports, hangers, and brackets.
• Conduct pressure tests and inspections to ensure system integrity and leak-free connections.
• Repair or replace defective pipes, fittings, and valves as needed.
• Coordinate with welders, plumbers, and other trades to ensure smooth workflow.
• Follow all site safety procedures and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Maintain cleanliness and orderliness in the work area and ensure tools and equipment are in good working condition.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Proven experience as a Pipe Fitter or in a similar role.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, piping diagrams, and technical drawings.
• Knowledge of different types of pipes (carbon steel, PVC, copper, stainless steel, etc.) and fittings.
• Skilled in the use of pipe-fitting tools and equipment.
• Understanding of welding, threading, and flanging techniques.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety standards.
• Physical stamina and ability to work in confined spaces and various weather conditions.
• Valid QID
• Valid Certificate
