Pipe Fitter

Key Responsibilities

Pipe Fabrication & Installation

• Read and interpret piping drawings, isometrics, spool drawings, and GA plans.
• Fabricate and install carbon steel, stainless steel, copper-nickel, and alloy piping systems.
• Perform cutting, bending, threading, beveling, and fit-up of pipes and fittings.
• Install valves, flanges, expansion joints, strainers, supports, and pipe brackets.

Repair & Maintenance

• Carry out removal and renewal of damaged/corroded pipes onboard vessels.
• Assist in temporary piping arrangements during repairs or modifications.
• Support piping modifications for class, client, or ADNOC/NMDC requirements.

Testing & Commissioning Support

• Assist in hydrostatic testing, pneumatic testing, flushing, and blowing of pipelines.
• Ensure proper line marking, tagging, and reinstatement after testing.
• Rectify leaks and punch list items as instructed by Supervisor or Engineer.

Knowledge on Tools & Equipment

Qualifications & Experience

• Minimum 2–5 years experience as a Pipe Fitter in a shipyard or offshore environment.
• Experience in ship repair, conversions, or new building preferred.
• Ability to read isometric and piping drawings independently.
• Experience with hot work and confined space work is an advantage.

Skills & Competencies

• Strong knowledge of marine piping systems
• (Bilge, Ballast, Fire, Fuel, Lube Oil, Hydraulic, Cooling, Air lines)

Safety & Compliance

• Must comply with yard safety rules, client HSE requirements, and permit systems.
• ADNOC / CICPA / Client site experience is an added advantage.

Pay: AED1,600.00 - AED1,800.00 per month
