Pipe Fitter

Job Description

The Pipe Fitter is responsible for the installation, fabrication, testing, and maintenance of piping systems related to plumbing, HVAC, fire fighting, and mechanical services in MEP projects. The role requires working as per approved drawings, project specifications, and safety standards to ensure high-quality and timely execution.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Install, assemble, and maintain piping systems for water supply, drainage, chilled water, hot water, gas, and fire fighting systems.
• Read and interpret shop drawings, isometrics, and layouts provided by the MEP team.
• Measure, cut, thread, groove, and bend pipes using appropriate tools and equipment.
• Perform pipe jointing using threaded, welded, grooved, solvent cement, or flanged connections as per project requirements.
• Coordinate with supervisors, engineers, and other trades to ensure smooth site execution.
• Conduct pressure testing, flushing, and inspection of piping systems.
• Ensure work complies with project specifications, local authority regulations, and company quality standards.
• Follow HSE requirements, wear PPE, and maintain a safe working environment.
• Report material requirements, damages, and site issues to the supervisor.
• Perform maintenance and rectification works during testing and commissioning stages.
