Pipe Welder

Job Summary:
Pickett is seeking a skilled Pipe Welder experienced in SMAW (Stick) welding to join our team in Corpus Christi, TX. This is a full-time, shop-based position with no travel required. The ideal candidate is dependable, safety-focused, and experienced in welding applications within a controlled shop environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform SMAW (Stick) welding on pipe and related components
• Read and interpret blueprints, welding procedures, and specifications
• Ensure all welds meet quality and safety standards
• Inspect completed welds for accuracy and structural integrity
• Maintain welding equipment and tools
• Follow all company and shop safety protocols
• Collaborate with team members to complete work efficiently

Qualifications:

• Minimum 2 years of SMAW (Stick) welding experience
• Ability to pass a 6G SMAW welding test (required)
• Strong understanding of welding techniques and procedures
• Ability to work in a shop environment and perform physical labor
• Strong work ethic, reliability, and attention to detail

Preferred Qualifications:

• Pipe welding experience
• Familiarity with industry standards and codes
• OSHA certifications are a plus
