Pipe Welder

Overview
We are seeking a skilled Pipe Welder to join our team. We are a nationwide mechanical installer mainly in the process cooling industry. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical knowledge and experience in welding and installing piping systems. This role will play a crucial role in ensuring that our piping systems are built to the highest standards of quality and safety.

Weekend work is available.

This position calls for a somebody who is willing to work away from home most weeks.

Job description

• Must be able to work in a team to conduct large and small pipework installations over the UK.
• Must be capable of welding thin wall (1.5 - 2mm wall) stainless steel pipe system
• IPAF license preferable.
• CSCS or CCNSG required.
• Must have full driving licence.
• Must be able to work under own initiative.

Responsibilities

• Assemble and install piping systems according to specifications and latest issued drawings.
• Use hand tools and power tools effectively for various tasks.
• Collaborate with other tradespeople and management to ensure seamless integration of piping systems within projects.
• Follow all safety protocols to maintain a safe working environment.

Experience

• Proven experience as a Pipe Welder in a similar role.
• Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot issues effectively.
• Familiarity with using hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
• Basic maths skills for precise measurements and calculations.
