Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Pipeline and Compliance Tech to join our team, dedicated to ensuring the integrity and regulatory adherence. This position will work from Rosenberg, TX, to the Victoria, TX region. There may be additional travel support for the West Texas Permian and Rockies regions on an as-needed basis.

Essential Job Responsibilities

  • Independent worker with initiative to grow and improve operations.
  • Safely drive company truck and maintain a good driving record. (no smoking in company vehicle)
  • Obtain and keep operator qualifications for pipeline operations and compliance tasks.
  • Perform pipeline inspections, basic troubleshooting/repair, and save all required documentation on the below items:
  • Cathodic Protection (rectifier and potential to ground inspections)
  • Exposed pipe inspections
  • Valve inspections and minor maintenance such as greasing
  • Leak inspections with and without instrumentation
  • Atmospheric inspections
  • ROW patrol inspections
  • Participate in damage prevention programs by performing locates and watching encroachments.
  • Participate in public awareness programs by attending liaison meetings and interacting in a positive manner with the public while performing job.
  • Participate in federal and state pipeline safety audits for operating states.
  • Project and repair support.
  • Work with GIS Tech and Pipeline Specialist to gather pipeline data for items such as map updates, class studies, attribute updates.
  • Other duties as assigned by manager.
  • Travel 25%-50%

Qualifications

  • Two (2) plus years of pipeline maintenance, operator qualification, and damage prevention programs experience is preferred.
  • Ability to accurately solve problems.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees, supervisors, other departments, officials, and the public.

Ability to complete multiple, diverse tasks of differing priorities.

  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Good management, administrative, and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in the use and application of software: Required: Microsoft Office Excel, Word, and Outlook).
  • Clean driving record.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $25.00 - $35.00 per hour
