Pipeline Supervisor

JOB PURPOSE:

The Pipeline Supervisor will serve as the primary field and interface focal point for GASAL’s pipeline network. This role combines operational supervision of asset reliability and enhancements with the on-site coordination of interfaces to protect GASAL assets from third-party construction within the common utility corridors of RLIC and MIC. The supervisor ensures that all field activities and third-party crossings are executed safely and in strict accordance with approved drawings and standards.

Minimum Qualifications:

▪ Bachelor’s degree in Engineering from an accredited and renowned university (Mechanical or Pipeline Engineering preferred)

Minimum Experience:

5–8 years of experience in pipeline construction, preferably within the Oil & Gas or Industrial Gases sector.

▪ Proven experience navigating common corridor regulations preferably in Qatar (RLIC/MIC)

▪ Direct experience in Crossing drawings and supervising the impact of third-party activities on live assets

▪ Strong knowledge in pipeline construction and commissioning

Resposibilites:

Act as the primary supervisor for the review and field-validation of No Objection Certificates (NOC) and Permit Concurrence requests

2. Review third-party drawings, Method Statements, and Crossing Packages to ensure field feasibility and compliance with QatarEnergy and GASAL/Air Liquide standards.

3. Assess the real-time impact of nearby construction (excavation, piling, heavy lifting) on GASAL’s assets

4. Conduct frequent site visits during critical crossing works to ensure contractors strictly adhere to approved engineering drawings and safety protocols

5. Lead the on-site supervision of engineering designs and execution for pipeline reliability and metering station upgrades

6. Identify potential single-point failures in the field and propose practical solutions to improve asset life and integrity

7. Assist in the review of FEED packages and P&IDs, ensuring they reflect actual "as-built" site conditions

8. Assist the Pipeline Manager in the day-to-day execution and continuous improvement of the Pipeline Integrity Management System (PIMS)

9. Support the operations team in active monitoring of the pipeline route and delivery metering stations

Ensure pipeline operations meet local/international safety regulations and support regulatory audits as required.

11. Ensure satisfactory performance of all pipeline design engineering activities undertaken on a project including the coordination and supervision of subordinates assigned to their responsibility.

12. Ensure GASAL's pipeline operations comply with all relevant local and international pipeline safety regulations.

Pay: QAR10,000.00 - QAR15,000.00 per month
