This position requires a B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering with 5-10 years of experience in piping design for large industrial projects, preferably in Chemical, Petrochemical, Oil & Gas, Fertilizer, or other process industries.

The Piping Design Engineer will be responsible for:

  • Preparing Piping Material Specification (PMS) and Valve Material Specification (VMS).

  • Planning and sizing piperacks with support from the lead engineer.

  • Preparing technical enquiry specifications (MRs) for piping components, fittings, manual valves and specialties.

  • Supporting technical bid evaluations and vendor drawing reviews.

  • Reviewing and coordinating interdisciplinary engineering deliverables including piping plans, P&IDs, vendor GAs, and structural layouts.

  • Participating in internal and client 30% / 60% / 90% model reviews, and resolving client comments and tags.

  • Issuing isometrics for stress analysis and incorporating feedback.

  • Finalizing IFC nozzle orientations and piping MTO accuracy.

  • Coordinating with engineers, modelers, draftsmen, and other project stakeholders as the area piping engineer.

Certification Requirement

  • Valid Professional Engineer (PE) Certification - Saudi Council of Engineers

Preferred Skills & Tools

  • Knowledge of ASME B31.3 Process Piping and related international standards (ASME, ASTM, API, MSS-SP)

  • Familiarity with AutoCAD / MicroStation and Navisworks 3D review

  • Understanding of piping materials, valves, and specialty datasheets

  • Awareness of stress analysis concepts

  • Strong communication, interdisciplinary coordination, and time management skills
