Position: Placing Boom Operator – Ready Mix Concrete

Job Summary
Responsible for operating and controlling a concrete placing boom to distribute ready-mix concrete safely and accurately on construction projects. Works closely with concrete pump operators, site engineers, and construction crews to ensure efficient concrete placement while maintaining quality and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate and control the concrete placing boom for accurate concrete distribution at construction sites.
• Set up, inspect, and position the placing boom according to project requirements.
• Coordinate with pump operators, site engineers, and supervisors during concrete pouring activities.
• Monitor boom movements and concrete flow to ensure safe and efficient placement.
• Conduct pre-operational and post-operational inspections of the placing boom and related equipment.
• Identify and report mechanical defects, wear, or operational issues.
• Perform routine cleaning, lubrication, and basic maintenance of equipment.
• Ensure compliance with site safety regulations and company operating procedures.
• Assist in assembling, dismantling, and relocating placing boom equipment when required.
• Maintain operational records, inspection checklists, and maintenance reports.
• Monitor work areas for potential hazards and ensure safe operation at all times.
• Support quality concrete placement to meet engineering specifications and project schedules.

Required Skills

• Operation of concrete placing booms and concrete pumping systems.
• Knowledge of RMC production and concrete placement techniques.
• Understanding of hydraulic and mechanical equipment.
• Ability to interpret construction drawings and placement plans.
• Equipment inspection and preventive maintenance.
• Strong safety awareness and hazard identification skills.
• Communication and teamwork abilities.
• Problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.

Qualifications

• High school education or equivalent preferred.
• Relevant certification or license for operating placing boom equipment, where required.
• Experience in concrete pumping, placing boom operations, or construction equipment operation.
• Knowledge of construction site safety standards and procedures.

Pay: AED2,000.00 - AED2,300.00 per year
