WORK SCHEDULE: 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM, Monday through Friday

PAY RANGE: $16.50 - $18.00/hr

We are looking for an individual who is self-motivated detailed oriented to join our company as Planner. The Planner is responsible for supporting the Planning Department by reviewing and processing purchase orders, communicating with customers and vendors, determining production quantities to meet customer demand on time, and performing other tasks as assigned by the Planning Manager.

The ideal candidate will have a positive attitude as well as have strong communication, organizational, and analytical skills. The candidate should be able to work in a fast-paced environment, and is comfortable working both independently and in a team environment. Training will be provided on-the-job.

Essential job duties and responsibilities:

  • Receive and process customer purchase orders into the company’s enterprise resource planning (ERP) system.
  • Review and confirm customers’ purchases orders for pricing, quantities, revision, materials, due dates, etc.
  • Determine quantity to make bases on historical data, forecasting, and material availability.
  • Allocate parts from stock and production runs to job travelers.
  • Assist with routing of routine parts to improve production runs and prevent rejections; review revision changes, update outside processing steps, as needed.
  • Assist in printing and releasing job travelers, part drawings, and cut lists to production floor.
  • Collaborate with other departments to coordinate the movement of materials within or between teams, ensuring alignment with the production schedule.
  • Interface with customers and vendors to provide updates on order status, delivery schedules, troubleshoot, and other relevant information.
  • Other duties as assigned by the Planning Manager

Education and work experience:

  • Minimum high school diploma or equivalent
  • At least one year of experience in the same or similar role desired

Knowledge and skills:

  • Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
  • Customer service skills and phone etiquette
  • Typing and data entry skills
  • Communication skills, verbal and written
  • Time management skills
  • Detail-oriented and organized
  • Problem-solving skills

Physical demands:

  • Primary functions require sufficient physical ability and mobility to work in an office setting; to stand or sit for prolonged periods of time; to walk from the office to Production Floor as needed; to occasionally stoop, bend, kneel, crouch, reach, and twist; to lift, carry, push, and/or pull light to moderate amounts of weight; to operate office equipment requiring repetitive hand movement and fine coordination including use of a keyboard. Must be able to lift up to ten pounds.
