Planning Analyst

Position Title: Planning Analyst

Location: Western Region, Saudi Arabia

Industry: Solar Utility / Solar Trackers / Renewable Energy

Job Summary:

The Planning Analyst will be responsible for supporting and optimizing production planning, demand forecasting, and supply chain coordination to ensure efficient operations within the solar utility and solar tracker manufacturing environment. The role requires close collaboration with cross-functional teams to align production schedules, material availability, and operational efficiency with customer and business requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

Production & Planning Management

  • Develop, manage, and maintain production schedules to meet customer demand and delivery timelines, ensuring effective prioritization of products and workflows.
  • Monitor and manage raw material and finished goods inventory levels to avoid shortages or excess stock and ensure timely availability for production.
  • Coordinate the effective utilization of materials, equipment, and labor to maximize operational efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
  • Track production performance, analyze operational efficiency, and prepare reports for management, identifying bottlenecks and implementing corrective actions.
  • Analyze demand forecasts to anticipate material requirements, capacity needs, and potential changes to production plans.

Cross-Functional Coordination

  • Work closely with Sales, Procurement, Logistics, Production, Engineering, and Finance teams to ensure seamless coordination and effective communication across departments.
  • Support planning alignment with business objectives and customer commitments.

Relationship & Continuous Improvement Management

  • Actively contribute as part of the management team by sharing insights and supporting continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Recommend and help implement process and procedure improvements to optimize operational performance and improve delivery quality, in line with company policies, quality standards, and customer requirements.
  • Develop and maintain strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure consistent and optimal performance.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or Business Administration .
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in Planning, Master Scheduling, Supply Chain, or Manufacturing environments.
  • Experience in solar, electronics, semiconductor, steel manufacturing, automotive, or heavy equipment industries is preferred.
  • Proven experience working with SAP and MRP (Material Requirements Planning) systems .
  • APICS certification is preferred.

Skills & Competencies:

  • Strong planning, forecasting, and project management skills with high attention to detail.
  • Advanced proficiency in planning tools such as Anaplan and MS Excel ; Power BI experience is an advantage.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, analyze, and interpret large and complex datasets.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively across cross-functional teams.
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to build, negotiate, and maintain effective professional relationships.
  • Self-motivated and capable of working in a fast-paced, global, and start-up environment .
  • Strong understanding of supply chain principles and best practices .
