As Planning & Warehouse Lead the incumbent will play a strategic leadership role within the Site Leadership Team, ensuring uninterrupted material supply and efficient warehouse operations. The incumbent will be responsible for manufacturing planning, inventory management, logistics, and compliance with Pfizer Quality & EHS Standards.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Planning & Supply Chain Management
  • Develop and implement monthly and long-term manufacturing and material plans aligned with business forecasts.
  • Prepare annual budgets for raw and packaging materials and monitor plant capacity for optimal production scheduling.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives in planning and supply chain processes.
Warehouse & Inventory Operations
  • Oversee day-to-day warehouse activities, including material receipt, storage, dispensing, and dispatch.
  • Maintain inventory norms, monitor distressed inventory, and implement corrective actions.
  • Approve write-off requests and ensure compliant disposal of rejected, recalled, or obsolete materials.
Logistics & Distribution
  • Coordinate with Distribution and Business Heads for timely dispatch planning.
  • Liaise with Procurement Department to ensure material availability and resolve shortages or damaged material issues.
  • Manage insurance claims for damaged or lost materials during transit.
Compliance & Quality Assurance
  • Ensure adherence to Pfizer Quality & EHS Standards.
  • Prepare for and manage internal, regulatory, Quality, EHS, and finance audits.
  • Guidance and follow up on Quality Assurance Reports (QARs) for unplanned deviations.
Leadership & People Development
  • Lead and mentor the Planning & Warehouse team, ensuring performance, training, and career development.
  • Promote EHS standards, safe work practices, and employee participation in safety programs.
  • Foster a culture of compliance, Data Integrity, accountability, and continuous improvement.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Pharmacy/ Engineering/ Supply chain/Operations, or related field.
  • 12 -18 years of experience in planning, warehouse, and logistics management within a pharmaceutical or regulated industry.
  • Strong knowledge of cGMP, regulatory compliance, and quality systems.
  • Proven leadership skills with the ability to manage cross-functional teams.
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
  • Proficient in SAP for inventory management, material planning, and warehouse operations, ensuring accurate data handling and process efficiency.
