Planning & Design Expert (IP Network)

We are seeking a Planning & Design Expert (IP Network) to lead the planning, design, and optimization of IP-based network infrastructure across our motorway and toll plaza projects. The candidate will ensure that all networks are designed for reliability, scalability, and operational efficiency, while adhering to industry standards and organizational requirements.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Plan, design, and document IP network architecture for motorway and toll plaza projects, including LAN, WAN, wireless, and fiber optic networks.
• Conduct site surveys, feasibility studies, and technical assessments to ensure robust network design and deployment.
• Develop network topology, addressing schemes, VLANs, routing, switching, and redundancy strategies.
• Collaborate with ITS, SCADA, BMS, and O&M teams to ensure seamless integration of IP network infrastructure with other systems.
• Ensure network designs comply with industry standards, security protocols, and operational requirements.
• Provide technical guidance for network deployment, configuration, testing, and commissioning.
• Evaluate existing networks, identify performance gaps, and propose enhancements or upgrades.
• Prepare technical specifications, detailed design documents, and standard operating procedures for network operations.
• Support troubleshooting and optimization of deployed networks to ensure high availability and reliability.
• Liaise with vendors, contractors, and stakeholders for network procurement, deployment, and technical coordination.
• Maintain a knowledge base of network designs, best practices, and lessons learned for future projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Networks, Telecommunications, Electrical/IT Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in IP network planning, design, or implementation for infrastructure or enterprise projects.
• Proven track record in network design, configuration, integration, and optimization.
• Hands-on experience with enterprise-level networking equipment and security best practices.

Required Skills

• Strong expertise in IP network design, including LAN, WAN, wireless, fiber optics, and network security.
• Proficiency in network devices (routers, switches, firewalls, access points) and protocols (TCP/IP, OSPF, BGP, VLANs, VPNs).
• Hands-on experience with network monitoring, performance optimization, and troubleshooting tools.
• Familiarity with network integration for ITS, SCADA, BMS, and other ICT systems.
• Ability to read, interpret, and create technical network diagrams and documentation.
• ·Strong analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills.
• ·Ability to lead technical teams and work independently under demanding timelines.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Rs100,000.00 - Rs150,000.00 per month
