Job Summary
We are looking for a Planning Engineer with strong EPC project experience in Power Transmission, Substation, or Oil & Gas sectors. The ideal candidate will have hands-on expertise in Primavera P6 and MS Projects, excellent reporting and analytical skills, and a proven record of managing project schedules and progress reporting for multiple projects.
Key Responsibilities
Develop, update, and maintain project schedules using Primavera P6 and/or MS Projects.
Prepare detailed baseline schedules, manpower histograms, progress measurement systems, and monitoring tools.
Coordinate with project teams to track progress, identify delays, and propose mitigation plans.
Generate progress reports, dashboards, and schedule variance analyses for management review.
Prepare S-curves, resource allocation charts, and earned value reports.
Support the project management team in planning, forecasting, and cost control activities.
Ensure that planning and reporting meet contractual and internal standards.
Prepare professional-quality reports and presentations using MS Office, Excel, and Adobe software tools.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams for data consolidation and project performance review.
Required Skills & Competencies
Proficient in Primavera P6 and MS Projects.
Strong knowledge of EPC project workflows, especially in Power / Substation / Oil & Gas domains.
Advanced proficiency in MS Excel, MS Office, and Adobe tools for reporting and documentation.
Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
Must have knowledge to study the engineering drawings.
Experience Requirements
4–5 years of experience as a Planning Engineer in EPC projects.
Must have successfully executed at least 2–3 projects in Power Transmission / Substation / Oil & Gas sectors.
Prior experience with reputed EPC contractors or consultants will be preferred.
