Candidates must have proven experience in
production planning within a joinery or woodworking environment
. Should be skilled in
scheduling, material coordination, and workflow optimization
to ensure timely project delivery.
Joinery production planning experience is a must.
1. Production Planning & Scheduling
-
Develop and implement detailed production schedules based on project timelines, material availability, and resource capacity.
-
Coordinate with design, procurement, and production teams to ensure smooth workflow and on-time delivery.
-
Plan production sequences to optimize machine utilization and reduce bottlenecks.
-
Review and adjust schedules as required by project changes or material delays.
2. Material & Resource Management
-
Prepare material requirement plans (MRP) based on approved drawings and cutting lists.
-
Ensure timely procurement of raw materials, hardware, veneers, and finishes required for joinery projects.
-
Monitor inventory levels to prevent shortages or overstocking.
-
Coordinate with the store and purchasing departments to track material inflow and consumption.
3. Workflow Coordination
-
Liaise between the design, estimation, and production departments to ensure clarity of specifications and production feasibility.
-
Collaborate with project engineers and site teams to align production priorities with project progress.

-
Standardize production procedures and implement lean manufacturing principles.
-
Monitor machine performance and manpower allocation to enhance productivity.
5. Monitoring & Reporting
-
Track daily production progress and update reports for management and project teams.
-
Highlight any risks, delays, or resource constraints that could impact project timelines.
-
Prepare production performance metrics such as lead time, output rates, and efficiency ratios.
6. Quality & Compliance
-
Ensure that all joinery production activities comply with quality standards, design specifications, and HSE regulations.
-
Participate in quality control inspections and assist in resolving non-conformance issues.
-
Support implementation of ISO or internal quality management systems.
7. Technical & Project Support
-
Review and interpret technical drawings and cutting lists for manufacturability.
-
Assist in cost estimation and production time studies.
-
Provide technical input during project kickoff and post-production evaluations.
