The Role
1) Work at the plant site within the Project Engineering Department to support project planning, scheduling, and project control activities. 2) Collaborate with project engineers, engineering contractors, construction contractors, the in-house construction staff, and stakeholders to develop and update schedules, ensuring project timelines are met. 3) Enhance project plans by identifying risks and opportunities, contributing to baseline adherence. 4) Create detailed project plans, including activity breakdowns, resources, and cost loadings. 5) Conduct critical analysis of projects, raising alerts for slippage and suggesting remedial measures. 6) Continuously monitor and analyze project progress and efficiency, reporting and assisting project and construction staff. 7) Identify plan implications related to scope changes. 8) Control and prepare various project management charts and reports. 9) Generate fortnightly reports on actual progress against planned progress. 10) Attend progress meetings, analyze progress trends, and provide advice. 11) Follow up on issues impacting project schedules. 12) Generate a two-week look-ahead schedule for project engineers. 13) Prepare progress monitoring charts for graphical visualization of projects. 14) Support engineers, supervisors, and managers in presentations and meetings. 15) Support the team with documentation, organizing meetings, and following up on activities. 16) Develop and update project portfolio schedules in Primavera P6, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives. 17) Collaborate with stakeholders to incorporate new projects into the portfolio and update existing project details. 18) Conduct regular portfolio reviews, identifying dependencies, overlaps, and opportunities for optimization. 19) Generate reports and visualizations using Primavera P6 to communicate portfolio status and performance. 20) Work closely with project teams to integrate individual project schedules into the overall portfolio plan. 21) Implement best practices in project portfolio management, ensuring consistency and efficiency. 22) Support the construction work planning as follows: a. Collaborate with the construction team and contractors to develop detailed plans, ensuring alignment with project objectives. b. Create and manage resource-loaded construction schedules, addressing changes and optimizing construction workflow. c. Monitor progress, address deviations, and communicate effectively with stakeholders for seamless project execution. 23) Provide training and support to team members on Primavera P6 functionality and portfolio management processes.

Requirements
Required Qualifications & Experience: 1) Bachelor’s degree in engineering from an accredited university. 2) Training and certification in project management, planning, and Primavera P6. 3) Minimum of 10 years of proven experience in similar roles in the petrochemical or refinery industry. Required Skills: 1) Project Planning and Scheduling: - Proficient in developing and managing project plans and schedules. - Experience in using tools like Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project for effective planning. 2) Risk Management: - Ability to identify, assess, and manage risks in project plans. - Proven skills in enhancing project plans by addressing potential risks and opportunities. 3) Analytical Skills: - Strong analytical skills to conduct critical analysis of projects. - Capability to raise alerts for project slippage and propose effective remedial measures. 4) Collaboration and Communication: - Excellent collaboration skills to work with project engineers, contractors, and stakeholders. - Effective communication skills for presenting analyses and providing advice in meetings. 5) Project Control: - Experienced in monitoring project progress and efficiency. - Capability to control and prepare various project management charts and reports.
