QA/QC Engineer –Fit-Out Projects

Position Overview

We are seeking a highly experienced QA/QC Engineer with a strong background in civil works and fit-out construction projects to join our dynamic project team in Al Khobar. The successful candidate will be responsible for implementing and maintaining quality assurance and control processes to ensure that all construction activities meet relevant codes, specifications, and project standards.

Key Responsibilities

Quality Assurance & Control

• Implement and maintain Project Quality Plans (PQP), Inspection & Test Plans (ITP), Method Statements, and QA/QC procedures.
• Conduct inspections and quality checks in accordance with approved plans and specifications.
• Identify, document, and report non-conformities (NCRs), and ensure timely corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
• Monitor and assess site activities to ensure quality standards are met and operational efficiency is maintained.
• Prepare and maintain QA/QC documentation and logs, including inspection requests, material approvals, NCRs, etc.
• Coordinate with consultants for closure of NCRs and continuous quality improvement.

Site Monitoring & Inspection

• Conduct inspections for civil and structural works such as concrete, blockwork, backfilling, and fit out finishes.
• Inspect and verify incoming materials (concrete, rebar, soil, etc.) to ensure compliance with project specifications.
• Ensure timely inspection and approval of works at each construction stage.
• Coordinate with third-party labs for material testing (compressive strength, FDT, etc.).

Documentation & Reporting

• Prepare and submit Inspection Requests (INRs), Material Inspection Requests (MIRs), and related quality documentation.
• Generate daily inspection reports, NCRs, and other QA/QC documentation.
• Participate in audits, project reviews, and inspections with clients and third parties.

Coordination & Communication

• Collaborate with project engineers, site supervisors, and subcontractors to maintain high-quality performance.
• Attend meetings with consultants and clients regarding quality issues and project updates.
• Coordinate with other trades to ensure proper sequencing and prevent rework.

Qualifications & Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or a related discipline.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in QA/QC roles within civil construction and fit-out projects.
• Strong knowledge of construction materials, industry codes, and quality management systems.
• Proficient in preparing and managing ITPs, PQPs, Method Statements, and inspection reports.
• Excellent communication, analytical, and documentation skills.
• Detail-oriented and proactive in identifying and resolving quality issues.
• Able to perform effectively under pressure and meet strict deadlines.
• Must be locally available in KSA and willing to relocate if required.
