Job Purpose

The Project Manager, reporting to the Projects Director, will be responsible for the overall planning, coordination, execution, and successful delivery of the NWC project within scope, schedule, budget, and quality standards. The position requires a strong technical background in water infrastructure projects and proven experience in managing multidisciplinary teams, subcontractors, and client relations.

Key Responsibilities

1. Project Planning & Execution

Develop and implement a comprehensive project management plan covering scope, schedule, cost, quality, safety, and risk management.

Define project objectives, milestones, and key deliverables in line with NWC’s requirements.

Ensure timely mobilization of resources, materials, and equipment.

Oversee the construction of earth works, road works, steel water tanks, pump station, steel piping, HDPE Piping, dosing system, surge protection system in compliance with design and specifications.

2. Technical & Construction Management

Supervise all engineering, procurement, and construction activities.

Review technical drawings, design documents, and shop drawings for approval and compliance.

Coordinate with consultants, suppliers, and subcontractors to resolve technical issues.

Ensure that quality assurance and quality control (QA/QC) procedures are implemented on site.

3. Financial & Contractual Control

Monitor project costs, cash flow, and variations against the approved budget.

Prepare and submit progress reports, cost reports, and claims as required by the client and company management.

Ensure adherence to contractual obligations, specifications, and performance guarantees.

4. Client & Stakeholder Management

Act as the primary point of contact between the Company and NWC.

Manage client communication, approvals, and reporting requirements.

Conduct regular progress meetings with the client, consultants, and subcontractors.

Ensure that all project documentation is properly maintained and submitted as per NWC standards & requirements.

5. Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE)

Ensure compliance with company and NWC HSE standards.

Promote a culture of safety and lead by example in all site activities.

Monitor and enforce site safety plans and corrective actions.

6. Team Leadership

Lead, motivate, and manage the project team, including engineers, supervisors, and administrative staff.

Evaluate team performance and ensure continuous professional development.

Foster a collaborative working environment to achieve project goals efficiently.

Qualifications & Experience:

Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering with Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification

Experience: Minimum 15 years of relevant experience in water infrastructure projects, with at least 5 years as a Project Manager.

Proven track record of managing steel tank construction, pump stations, and water treatment/disinfection systems.

Experience with NWC projects or other Saudi utility projects will be highly advantageous.

Strong understanding of Saudi construction standards, NWC specifications, Saudi Building Codes and International Codes including but not limited to ASME. ASCI, API, ASTM, AASHTO Codes.

Native Language should be Arabic with Good Communication in English is mandatory.

Proficient in MS Project / Primavera P6, AutoCAD, and standard project management software.
