WE ARE HIRING – Planning Engineer

IMMEDIATE JOINING
Location: Mogadishu, Somalia

Docol Group, a leading construction and integrated solutions company in East Africa, is seeking an experienced Planning Engineer to support our flagship 5-star hotel and mall project in Mogadishu, Somalia. The project is managed by Docol Investments FZCO and developed to UAE 5-star standards within the secure AMISOM Green Zone.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop, update, and maintain project schedules using Primavera P6 / MS Project.
• Prepare baseline programs, recovery schedules, and look-ahead plans.
• Monitor project progress and compare actual progress against planned schedules.
• Identify delays, analyze schedule variances, and recommend corrective actions.
• Coordinate with project managers, engineers, procurement, and site teams to align planning with execution.
• Prepare weekly and monthly progress reports, dashboards, and S-curves.
• Support resource planning, manpower forecasting, and material scheduling.
• Assist in EOT claims, delay analysis, and planning-related contractual matters.
• Ensure schedules reflect procurement, logistics, and construction sequencing accurately.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
• Minimum 5+ years’ experience as a Planning Engineer on large-scale construction projects.
• Strong proficiency in Primavera P6 and MS Project (mandatory).
• Good knowledge of construction methodologies, sequencing, and cost–time relationships.
• Experience in preparing progress reports, S-curves, histograms, and dashboards.
• Excellent analytical, coordination, and communication skills.
• Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced, multicultural project environment.
