Planning Engineer

Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Planning Engineer to support project planning, scheduling, monitoring, and reporting activities for infrastructure/construction projects in Qatar. The role requires strong Primavera P6 expertise, analytical skills, and hands-on experience with project controls in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, update, and maintain detailed project schedules using Primavera P6
• Prepare baseline programs, recovery schedules, and progress updates
• Monitor project progress against approved baselines and identify variances
• Analyze delays, critical paths, and recommend corrective actions
• Prepare weekly and monthly planning reports for management and stakeholders
• Coordinate with project managers, site teams, and subcontractors
• Support EOT claims with proper planning narratives and time impact analysis
• Ensure planning activities align with contractual and project requirements

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Civil preferred)
• Minimum 5–8 years of experience as a Planning Engineer
• Strong proficiency in Primavera P6 (mandatory)
• Solid understanding of construction sequencing and project controls
• Experience in Qatar/GCC infrastructure or building projects preferred
• Knowledge of delay analysis and reporting
• Strong communication and coordination skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Ashghal / large infrastructure projects
• Familiarity with contract conditions (FIDIC preferred)
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
