Planning Engineer

Job Description:

The Planning Engineer is responsible for developing, monitoring, and controlling project schedules for building and infrastructure projects. The role involves close coordination with project teams, consultants, and stakeholders to ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and aligned with contractual requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop detailed project schedules and baselines using Primavera P6.
• Prepare, review, and maintain project baseline programs, updates, and recovery schedules.
• Monitor project progress and analyze schedule variances.
• Prepare dashboards and reports for management using Power BI and other reporting tools.
• Track milestones, critical paths, and resource loading.
• Coordinate with PMC, DMC, consultants, contractors, and clients on planning-related matters.
• Prepare weekly and monthly progress reports.
• Support claims, delay analysis, and time impact assessments when required.
• Ensure compliance with contract schedules and project control procedures.
• Assist in risk analysis, forecasting, and project performance evaluation.

Software & Tools Knowledge:

• Primavera P6 (Scheduling & Planning)
• Power BI (Dashboards & Reporting)
• Project Baseline Management
• Advanced Excel & Reporting Tools

Skills & Competencies:

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent coordination and communication abilities
• Experience in building and infrastructure projects
• Knowledge of PMC, DMC, and consultancy environments
