Planning Engineer

Korra Energi is a leading Egyptian provider of energy efficiency solutions and contracting services, driving sustainable growth across Africa since 1997. We're currently seeking a highly organized and analytical Senior Planning Engineer to join our dynamic team. This role is essential in ensuring our large-scale infrastructure and power projects remain on track and aligned with our strategic goals. Key Responsibilities


  • Develop and maintain detailed project schedules across all phases of execution.
  • Coordinate with project managers and technical teams to define scope, sequences, and objectives.
  • Monitor project progress and update schedules based on actual performance.
  • Identify potential risks, delays, and constraints; support mitigation planning.
  • Prepare and present progress reports, dashboards, and schedule updates to stakeholders.
  • Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and resource allocation decisions.
  • Conduct periodic site visits to verify progress and schedule adherence.
  • Analyze project data to identify trends and propose planning improvements.
  • Coordinate with suppliers and subcontractors to ensure timely material and service delivery.
  • Use project management tools (Primavera P6 / MS Project) to track timelines and generate reports.
  • Develop contingency plans to manage disruptions and schedule changes.
  • Review and validate planning deliverables submitted by subcontractors.
  • Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards.
  • Facilitate communication and alignment between cross-functional project teams.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering , Construction Management, or a related field.
  • 1–3 years of experience in planning/scheduling within Solar, Oil & Gas, Power Plants, Construction, or Contracting projects.
  • Proficiency in Primavera P6 or Microsoft Project is required.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and time-management skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
