Planning Engineer

Job Purpose

The Planning Engineer is responsible for developing, monitoring, and updating project schedules to ensure timely delivery of construction and fit-out projects. The role involves close coordination with project teams to track progress, identify delays, and support effective planning and resource allocation.

Key Responsibilities1. Project Planning & Scheduling

• Prepare baseline project schedules using Primavera / MS Project.
• Develop detailed work programs, resource plans, and timelines.
• Define project milestones, critical paths, and sequencing of activities.

2. Monitoring & Control

• Track project progress against approved schedules and highlight delays or risks.
• Update schedules regularly based on site progress and changes.
• Conduct delay analysis and propose recovery plans where required.

3. Coordination

• Coordinate with Project Managers, site teams, procurement, and subcontractors for accurate planning inputs.
• Ensure alignment between design, procurement, and construction activities.
• Support site teams with planning data and look-ahead schedules.

4. Reporting

• Prepare weekly and monthly progress reports including status, delays, and forecasts.
• Present schedule updates, critical issues, and mitigation plans to management.
• Maintain records of progress, changes, and planning documentation.

5. Project Support

• Assist in preparation of tender schedules and project timelines.
• Support claims, extensions of time (EOT), and variation analysis related to delays.
• Ensure compliance with contract timelines and project requirements.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• 5–8 years of UAE experience in construction and interior fit-out projects.
• Strong knowledge of planning tools such as Primavera P6 or MS Project.
• Good understanding of construction sequences, methods, and site coordination.
• Strong analytical, reporting, and communication skills.

Pay: Up to AED5,000.00 per month

Work Location: Hybrid remote in Dubai (Dubai)
