Planning Manager - Mechanical - Oil & Gas

Required to join an international contractor working on large scale oil & gas / LNG projects in Qatar. The successful candidate will manage and oversee planning activities being responsible for project planning and scheduling, progress and performance monitoring and reporting.

Job Brief:

• Review Contract documentation to ensure a thorough understanding of the Scope of Work and Contract requirements.
• Direct, support and check the work produced by the planning team to ensure that requirements are met and corporate norms and procedures are applied.
• Prepare programs and schedules (including baseline schedules, construction detailed schedules, etc.) to the level of detail deemed appropriate, in accordance with drawings and Contract obligations.
• Provide regular schedule updates, considering latest data regarding actual progress, revised scope, execution sequence and performance. Ensure that schedule updates are realistic and achievable.
• Utilize Primavera P6 on a regular basis to analyze and recommend improvements to schedules, in terms of logic, critical paths, durations, floats, sequencing, assigned resources (direct man-hours) and execution methodology.

Degree in Mechanical Engineering

Minimum (10) years of experience with a construction Contractor’s organization working on a breadth of heavy construction Mechanical projects.

Experience on LNG / Oil & Gas projects

Worked on projects exceeding $100M as a Planning Manager

Proven leadership, presentation and communication abilities.

Advanced Work Packaging (AWP) and Workface Planning (WFP) exposure is an advantage.

Fluent in written and spoken English
